KUALA KANGSAR: The Health Ministry is considering whether a tax should be imposed on sugar-sweetened beverages.
“We are currently discussing this at the ministry level. We removed the sugar subsidy two years ago and now, we’re doing a study on whether it has helped reduce sugar consumption among the people,” said its minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.
