GEORGE TOWN: The Penang government will bear the cost for the construction of a toll-free third bridge provided it could secure approval in principle from the Federal Government.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said the third bridge would cost less than RM2bil, about half the price of building the RM3.7bil undersea tunnel linking Gurney Drive to Bagan Ajam on the mainland.
