The body of Bock Yoke Moi, being brought to Malacca hospital for post-mortem.

MALACCA: The body of a hairstylist and mother of two was found floating at the estuary of Sungai Klebang, near the Klebang jetty.

The lifeless body of Bock Yoke Moi, 41 was found by fisherman Fazili Abas, 36, at 9.20am Tuesday before police were alerted.

The victim’ relative David How, 33, said Bock left her home in Taman Seri Duyung late Monday evening and failed to return.

“Family members searched for her but she was nowhere to be found ," he said.

How said Bock had been suffering from a mental condition for almost a decade.

“Sometimes, she would leave home without informing anyone but she would return safely, but this time we never expected her to go forever,” he said.

How said they have yet to inform Bock’s 14-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter.

“We are waiting for their grandparents to break the news to them,” he added.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Shaikh Abdul Adzis Shaikh Abdullah said police are treating the case as a sudden death for now while awaiting the post-mortem report.
