Anglers find body in Ulu Chepor park

IPOH: Two men stumbled upon a body while fishing at the Ulu Chepor Recreational Park in Chemor, near here.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Sum Chang Keong said the men found the body at 11.30pm on Tuesday and lodged a police report at about 12.25am on Wednesday.

He said police found the victim's motorcycle, helmet, key and clothing by the riverbank.

"Initial investigations found no injuries on the body.
"We also did not find signs of any criminal element," he said.

ACP Sum said police traced the motorcycle to a 57-year-old man in Silibin.

He said the body was sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for post-mortem.

"The post-mortem report states the cause of death as similar to drowning.

"The victim's family has been notified," ACP Sum said.
