LAWAS (Northern Sarawak): They risked their lives defending our borders against foreign invasion during the Confrontation in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Without them, a big chunk of Sarawak may have ended up in the hands of a foreign country and Malaysia’s borders would not be what they are today.
