971 illegals nabbed in raids nationwide

Night-time crackdown: Foreigners being checked by Immigration officers following a raid at a construction site at Cyberjaya.

CYBERJAYA: The Immigration Department has launched a series of raids nationwide, leading to the arrest of 971 foreigners.

Its director-general Datuk Sakib Kusmi said the operations were conducted between 11pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday.
