JOHOR BARU: Iskandar Malaysia is moving in the right direction with the progress and development taking place as outlined under its Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP2006-2025).
Johor Trade, Tourism and Consumerism committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong said Iskandar Malaysia was the most successful economic growth corridor in the country.
He said there were five economic growth corridors in the country including Iskandar Malaysia but the latter was the one that had been able to attract domestic and foreign investors.
"Despite operating in a challenging and unfavourable economic global economic situation, Iskandar Malaysia still attracts strong interest from investors," said Tee.
He said this in a press conference after opening the Community Initiated Iskandar Malaysia Conference 2016 here on Thursday.
Tee said Iskandar Regional Development Authority would have to review its investment strategies from time to time in view of the changing landscape of the global economic situation.
He said Iskandar Malaysia would focus on three economic sectors namely healthcare, creative and tourism to attract investments.
