KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has agreed to amend the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act 1963, following the bestowal of honours and medals by individuals who are not recognised.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said the matter was agreed during yesterday’s Cabinet meeting after noting that the issue had become rampant, especially those that carry the titles “Datuk” and “Datuk Seri”.
