WHILE the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council’s focus is on increasing the international market share for Malaysian healthcare services, it also strives to create awareness among local residents and promote domestic healthcare travel, says Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The council, he explains, works closely with hospitals to highlight and promote their healthcare facilities as part of an overall strategy for both the international and domestic healthcare travel markets.
