Floods: Number of evacuees increases to over 1,000 in Terengganu

The flood situation in Jalan Kampung Kepah-Matang after a downpour in Hulu Terengganu on Monday.

KUALA TERENGGANU: Fifteen relief centres have been opened to house the increasing number of flood evacuees in Terengganu.  

According to state Civil Defence Department director Lt Col Che Adam A. Rahman, the number of flood victims had increased from 255 on Monday to 1,451 from 406 families Tuesday.
