GEORGE TOWN: Eighty eight individuals, including 38 women, were arrested in a state of intoxication while celebrating a birthday party at a homestay bungalow in Jalan Masjid Negeri here on Sunday.
Acting Timur Laut district police chief, Supt Ismail Idris, said all the detainees, aged between 16 and 35, were arrested in a raid by the narcotics unit at 2.45am after receiving information from the public.
