NRD officers authorised to query applicants' background

IPOH: National Registration Depart-ment officers have the authority to query the background of MyKad applicants if they have doubts about these people.

Perak NRD director Mohd Zahari Hassan said the officers asking questions were merely performing their duties and did not intend to demean anybody.
