GOMBAK: Water-based activities in rivers and ponds will no longer be part of the National Service (NS) training programme.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said this was to ensure the trainees' safety and prevent NS-related accidents or deaths.
