Snakes in the city

Many of us dread unwelcome visitors to our homes but none is more feared than snakes, be they pythons or cobras.

The increased presence of snakes in residential areas has been blamed on the indiscriminate dumping of food waste into drains as well as the reptile’s loss of habitat.
