PETALING JAYA: Saliran Group Bhd has appointed Yong Wai Kin, the company’s chief financial officer (CFO), as executive director of the company.
In a statement, the supplier and distributor of pipes, fittings and flanges said the appointment reflects the board’s confidence in Yong’s leadership and expertise as Saliran continues to advance its growth trajectory post its initial public offering.
“Yong, who has served as CFO of Saliran since May 2022, brings over three decades of experience in finance, audit, and corporate management across diverse industries such as manufacturing, automotive, media, and palm oil.
“Since joining Saliran, he has played a pivotal role in leading the Company’s financial management and was instrumental in steering the successful listing of Saliran on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2025.”
Prior to joining Saliran, Yong held senior leadership positions including executive director and CFO of Mann Seng Metal International Ltd, where he facilitated its IPO on the Singapore Exchange in May 2010.
He also previously served as CFO of Econframe Bhd
, where he oversaw the group’s financial and corporate affairs and played a key role in its public listing in October 2020.
