KUALA LUMPUR: Companies in the news that could attract investor interest include Globetronics, Perdana Petroleum, Econpile, AwanBiru, Jati Tinggi and Prolintas, said Rakuten Trade.

Globetronics Technology has secured a contract worth US$7.59m (RM35.9m) to provide technical services related to outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing from Kaynes Semicon Private Ltd.

Perdana Petroleum’s wholly owned subsidiary Perdana Nautika SB has secured extensions for four vessel charter contracts plus one new contract from Petronas Carigali SB that is worth an aggregate of RM68m.

Econpile Holdings has bagged a contract worth RM65.5m to undertake road upgrade works for a project in the Cameron Highlands, Pahang.

Awanbiru Technology’s (Awantec) wholly owned unit has secured a RM4.96m contract from the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia's (Nahrim) computing solutions and services for climate change research and development.

Jati Tinggi Group said its wholly-owned subsidiary Jati Holding SB has secured a contract for works valued at RM22.05m from Worktime Engineering SB to lay a 275KV underground cable double circuit for a data centre in the southern region of Malaysia.

Prolintas seeks to raise RM445.3m from listing Highway operator Projek Lintasan Kota Holdings SB (Prolintas) aims to raise RM445.3m via the initial public offering (IPO) of its highway business trust Prolintas Infra Business Trust (Prolintas Infra BT).
