KUALA LUMPUR: There be trading interest in stocks with recent corporate announcements including IGB REIT, IGB Commecial REIT, Axist REIT, Sasbadi and Solarvest, said Apex Research.
IGB REIT’s net property income for 2QFY2023 fell 2.76% to RM102.79 million.
IGB Commercial REIT’s net property income for 2QFY2023 grew 3% to RM31.11 million.
Axis REIT’s net property income fell 7.58% to RM58.43 million in 2Q23.
Sasbadi Holdings Bhd's net profit more than doubled to RM4.61 million in the third quarter ended May 31, 2023.
Solarvest Holdings Bhd bagged a contract with a US-based company in Malaysia to install a 3.6 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar photovoltaic system at its manufacturing facility in Batu Kawan, Penang.
Meanwhile, the US market was mixed overnight with the Dow extending its winning streak to 13 days while the S&P and Nasdaq posted slight declines after the Federal Reserve hiked interest rates by 25 basis points.
Earlier, European markets declined ahead of the Fed’s rate decision. Investors are expecting a 25 basis-point rate hikes by the European Central Bank later today.
On the local market, the FBM KLCI surged 12.50 points or 0.87% to 1,449.29 points.
"Following the recent bullish momentum, the FBM KLCI could extend its gains towards the resistance of 1,460 points," said Apex.
