KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks that could see trading interest on Thursday include Southern Steel, MAHB, United Plantations, Axis REIT, FGV, Solarvest, Tex Cycle Technology and YKGI, said JF Apex Research.

Southern Steel Bhd (SSB) has been affirmed by the Singapore Court of Appeal (COA) to receive RM82.57mil from Italian plant maker Danieli & C Officine Meccaniche.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) saw its total domestic passenger movements increase by over six times YoY to 20.25 million passengers in 1H2022.

United Plantations Bhd net profit for 2Q22 grew 36% YoY to RM184.63mil.

Axis Real Estate Investment Trust's net property income rose 18.34% YoY to RM63.24mil for 2Q22.

FGV Holdings Bhd said it will proceed with the recruitment of 1,210 workers from Indonesia as part of the company's earlier arrangement, despite Indonesia imposing a temporary freeze on sending migrant workers to Malaysia.

Solarvest Holdings Bhd has signed a MoU with property developer NCT Land Sdn Bhd to jointly develop 1,000 units of solar-ready factories and warehouses in Selangor Smart Industrial Park.

Tex Cycle Technology (M) Bhd has signed a 20-year solar power purchase agreement with Thailand-based Bothong Rubber Fund Cooperative Ltd.

YKGI Holdings Bhd plans to raise up to RM5.53 million in a proposed private placement.

Meanwhile, JF Apex said the FBM KLCI could extend its gains towards the resistance at 1,460 points following the recent positive momentum.

The US markets were positive overnight with technology counters leading the gains as the corporate earnings season continues.

Earlier, European stocks declined after UK inflation hit a new 40-year high.
