Izzat, Fahmy to leave Pharmaniaga board


Izzat Othman joined Pharmaniaga's board on March 25, 2011. He is a partner in Messrs. Azzat & Izzat Advocates & Solicitors and currently is a practising lawyer with more than 33 years of experience.

KUALA LUMPUR: Pharmaniaga Bhd announced on Friday its independent non-executive director Izzat Othman and non-independent non-executive director Fahmy Ismail will be leaving the group with effect from July 31.

It said Izzat, 57, joined the board on March 25, 2011 while Fahmy joined on Jan 1 this year.

According to filings with Bursa Malaysia, Izzat is a lawyer by profession. He was formerly a director of Affin Securities Sdn Bhd and BH Insurance Bhd. 

He has vast experience relating to litigation, conveyancing and corporate matters.

Izzat is a partner in Messrs. Azzat & Izzat Advocates & Solicitors and currently is a practising lawyer with more than 33 years of experience.

Fahmy (pic) joined Boustead Holdings Bhd in 2006 as manager, corporate planning. In 2014, he was appointed CEO of Boustead Plantations Bhd until June 2018. 

In January 2017 he assumed the role of director, financial services of Boustead Holdings. He was then appointed group finance director (GFD) in October 2017 to present. 

He was appointed chief operating officer of Boustead Holdings on Jan 1 this year concurrently with his position as GFD.
