Malaysia Airports unveils billing portal for clients, vendors

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has launched its newly-developed Online Billing Portal for the benefit of nearly 15,000 clients, vendors and business partners, including airline companies.

The airport operator said in a statement that the portal would enable a more efficient and transparent finance process for all its partners.

“Business partners will be provided with a unique ID that will allow them to access the portal and view information such as billing and payment dates,” it said.

It said the initiative was undertaken with a view to facilitate its partners in accessing and validating billing details and payment status online and on demand.

“With this in place, we expect the collection process to be more effective for both our accounts department and our partners,” it added.

Meanwhile, MAHB said it was working closely with all its major airline partners in resolving the payments regarding collection of passenger service charges (PSC).

It said the company continued its practice of regular engagement with all its airline partners to discuss any rising operational and financial matters.

“MAHB values the relationship it has with all airline partners equally. We are constantly looking at ways to improve and enhance the billing and payment processes,” it said.

PSC is a government regulated charge payable to MAHB that are collected by airlines in advance from passengers by including it in the ticket price.

The charges is only payable when passengers board their aircraft and is used for the maintenance and continuous enhancement of facilities and services at the airport. - Bernama
