Trading ideas: DRB-Hicom, Sarawak Cable, Sentoria, CIMB

KUALA LUMPUR: DRB-Hicom, Sarawak Cable, Sentoria and CIMB are among the stocks to watch on Thursday after their corporate news.

DRB-Hicom has agreed to sell a 49.9% stake in loss-making Proton Holdings Bhd to China-based Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd.

The research house said Sarawak Cable bagged a RM81.4mil contract from Tenaga while Sentoria secured a RM60.8mil housing construction project.

Meanwhile, Heng Yuan, CIMB, MBSB, MBM Resources, Hap Seng, Sunsuria, EITA and TH Plantations recorded impressive quarterly results.

However, Fima, UOA REIT, DKSH, and Parkson suffered a decline in profits.

Overnight on Wall Street, US markets closed higher with the S&P hitting a record high following the Federal Reserve's plan to scale back its balance sheet. Earlier, European stocks ended mixed amid lower oil prices.

At Bursa Malaysia, the FBM KLCI gained 3.84 points to end at 1,771.0.

“Following the mixed performance, the KLCI could remain lacklustre below the resistance of 1,785,” it said.
