Oil posted its biggest intraday loss in more than two months amid a global flight from risky assets as the BBC projected the UK voted to leave the EU. US light crude for August delivery fell as much as US$3.41 to US$46.70 a barrel while Brent for August lost 6.6% to US$47.54, the wire report said.
Across Asia, Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 6.88% to 15,120.40 while the Hang Seng Index was down 4.67% to 19,894.12 and Singapore's Straits Times Index fell 2.44% to 2,725.75.
