SINGAPORE: Singapore Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat (pix) suffered a stroke and collapsed during a cabinet meeting on Thursday, the prime minister's office said.
"Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Finance, collapsed during a cabinet meeting this afternoon at 5.34 pm," the prime minister's office said in a statement.
"He was taken to hospital immediately. A CT scan showed that he had a stroke. Doctors are attending to him now." Heng, who took over the role last year, was previously a managing director of Singapore's central bank. - Reuters
