PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Lim Kang Hoo was among eight people who received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” during the Sixth World Chinese Economic Forum held in Chongqing, China in recognition of his outstanding work in the construction and property industry in Malaysia.
Lim is executive vice-chairman of Ekovest Bhd
and the executive vice-chairman of Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd, which is the master-developer of prime waterfront real estate in Johor Baru.
Lim received the award from Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin at the forum that was attended by more than 3,000 participants from 30 countries. The forum was organised by the China Council for Promotion of International Trade and the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute.
The award recognises those have distinguished themselves in government, business, civil society and the arts.
Lim is behind the creation of Danga Bay in Johor Baru and is also actively involved in the transformation of an 8km stretch on the Johor Baru coastline into the Iskandar Integrated Waterfront City.
