Acer Liquid Z220: an Android for just RM299

You can now get an Android phone running on Lollipop for just RM299.

The entry-level Liquid Z220, also Acer’s first smartphone with Android Lollipop, offers 3G connectivity, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB with microSD).

It has a 4in screen and 1,300mAh removable battery while weighing only 120g.

Accompanying the Z220 are two other models – the Liquid Jade Z and Liquid Z520.

The Jade Z sports a 5in display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and 2,300mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Z520 features a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2,000mAh battery.

Both smartphones have 16GB of internal storage and 2GB RAM but run on the previous generation Android 4.4 KitKat.

The Jade Z and Z520 are available at RM799 and RM499, respectively.

 The Acer Liquid smartphones will be available in black and white.

At the event, Acer also launched two new Aspire E series laptops – the Aspire E14 and E15.

Prices for the laptop range from RM1,899 to RM2,999 with attractive colours to choose from, namely charcoal grey, cotton white, rosewood red and ocean blue with more coming soon.
