Cheaper Microsoft Surface targets Google, Apple tablets

Microsoft announced a lower-priced Surface tablet, the company’s latest push into a tablet market dominated by Apple and Google.

The Surface 3 will sell for US$499 (RM1,812), the same starting price as Apple’s iPad Air 2. The device is available for pre-order online, with arrival in brick-and-mortar retailers expected in early May.
