PETALING JAYA: World No.1 Nicol David was put under heavy pressure by English qualifier Emily Whitlock before eventually booking her place in the quarter-finals of the Women’s World Championship.
The seven-time world champion was made to fight her way out of trouble against the 20-year-old Whitlock before winning 12-10, 11-9, 11-1 in the second round at the Wadi Degla Squash Club in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday.
