PETALING JAYA: World No. 6 Mohamed El Shorbagy proved that he is made for the big stage after all with a stunning performance to beat world No. 3 James Willstrop in the quarter-finals of the Men’s World Championships at the Manchester Central on Friday.
The young Egyptian, who also defeated Willstrop in the semi-final of the world meet last year en route to finishing runner-up, won a thrilling contest 12-10, 11-6, 2-11, 11-9 in 78 minutes.
