Jamil Khir denies abusing funds for orphans and the poor

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom denies using funds meant for orphans and the poor acquired from public contributions for an overseas trip with his wife, and has threatened legal action.

He was responding to a statement by Akmal Nasir, the director of National Oversight and Whistleblowers (NOW), who had claimed that the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department had used the funds to go shopping and play golf in the US.
