Police want to verify report of Malaysian plane wreckage found on island


KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman has contacted the Philippine police over a report that an aircraft wreckage with a Malaysian flag inside was found in the jungles of a remote island in the republic.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pic) said police were seeking the assistance of Manila to validate a report which was lodged by a 46-year-old man on behalf of his relative, who allegedly found the wreckage while hunting for birds at Sugbay Island in Tawi Tawi.
