NEW YORK: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has made an impassioned plea for the rejection of the so-called Islamic State philosophy and for the ummah to take decisive action against those who seek to hijack Islam.

In a speech delivered at the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly here on Thursday, Najib condemned the so-called Islamic State (IS) and called for the world to unite in taking action against the organisation.
