PM: Jakim to play active role in explaining true meaning of jihad


PUTRAJAYA: A Bill to tackle the threat of militant activities, including those related to the Islamic State (IS) militant group, will be tabled at Parliament in March, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister said besides the new law, authorities including the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim), would play a more active role in explaining jihad.
