KOTA KINABALU: Police shot dead a mentally unstable man shortly after he slashed a policeman in Tawau.
The man, who slashed the police Koperal on his shoulder at Kg Andrassy, was killed when he tried to attack a back up police party who had initially tried to ask him to surrender at around 11.10am Tuesday.
