Swedish child abuse: Trial ends, couple to be detained until verdict on March 28


STOCKHOLM: The odds appear stacked against the Malaysian couple on trial for abusing their kids in Sweden, after the court ordered they be kept in detention pending its verdict on March 28.

District Judge Mattias Möller ruled that Azizul Raheem Awalluddin and his wife Shalwati Norshal were a flight risk, thus needed to remain in detention.
