Fire and Rescue Department staff and divers searching the area where the boys fell and drowned in Sungai Muar
SEGAMAT: A third body of a teenage boy, who was among eight boys who drowned in Sungai Muar in Buloh Kasap town, has been recovered.
Nazrul Amiruddin Zamri, 14, was found at about 4.30pm.
Earlier, the bodies of Hafizul Daniel Norhashim, 16, was found at about 3.30pm and that of Mohd Zikri Zaidi, 14, some 11 minutes later.
The others still missing have been identified as Mohd Zaki Zaidi, 16, Mohd Izoan Hakimis Amin, 13, Mohd Noreen Zainal, 14, and Mohd Hafizuddin Kamal, 16.
The boys were among 13 children who went jogging in the area earlier in the day before taking a bath at a popular recreation spot near Pasir Rusa.
After bathing, the eight boys went for a walk along the river bank when suddenly one of them slipped and fell. The others jumped into the river to try to rescue him but all got into difficulties.
