KUALA LUMPUR: A woman died of severe injuries after her car was hit by a 10-tonne lorry and dragged for about 150m in Jalan Bukit Jalil Indah, Bukit Jalil, near here Wednesday.
Officer-in-charge of Bukit Jalil fire and rescue station Fuad Omar said in the 2.33pm incident, Sze Po Ling, 45, had stopped her car at a traffic light when the lorry, which was turning right from the opposite direction, skidded and hit the car.
"The lorry, laden with soil, also dragged the woman's car before they crashed into the Bukit Jalil Garden Nursery," he said.
He said the lorry driver fled the scene.
Kuala Lumpur traffic police chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor, when contacted, confirmed the incident, saying that Sze's body was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post mortem. - Bernama
