TWO days before his marriage, 30-year-old R. Rajkumar was found dead in a football field near his house in Taman Wira in Meru, Selangor.

His engagement ring and a gold chain were missing but there were no visible injuries to suggest he was attacked, Tamil Nesan reported.

“His death is a mystery to us,” said his uncle T. Kanagarajah.

The family was informed by a neighbour that Rajkumar was lying motionless in the field at around 5am on Tuesday.

“We rushed to the place and called an ambulance but the paramedics told us Rajkumar was already dead,” said Kanagarajah.

He said Rajkumar, the eldest of four siblings, had been distributing his wedding invitation cards over the past month.

> A couple from Boothapandi village in Kumari district in Tamil Nadu have been leading a nomadic life as both have HIV, Tamil Nesan reported.

Four days ago, several people attacked the man, identified only as David, 42, leaving him seriously injured and hospitalised.

He now faces a dilemma of where to go next with his wife Elizabeth, 35, as they had always been spurned wherever they lived previously.

The couple have been married for six years and have a son, aged five, who lives with the woman’s parents.
