KUALA LUMPUR: The Government subsidises more than 90% of tuition fees for students in public institutions of higher learning, said Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.
Citing examples, he said the cost of a medical course offered at a public university was RM166,000 but students only paid RM9,000 as the Government subsidised 94.6% of the course's fee.
