SINGAPORE: Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel) is downplaying the necessity for more competition in the city-state just as the regulator is gearing up to award a licence to a fourth carrier.
“We don’t believe there’s a need for a fourth operator,” Chua Sock Koong (pic), chief executive officer of Singapore’s biggest phone company, said in a Bloomberg Television interview.
