Bursa Securities queries Damansara Realty after spike


KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia Securities has queried Damansara Realty after its share price surged in the morning session on Friday.

It jumped 29 sen to 89 sen. There were 2.78 million shares done at prices ranging from 61 sen to 90 sen.

The regulator had directed the company to enquire with its directors, major shareholders and such other relevant persons on the reason for the price surge.

Through its subsidiaries, the Johor-based Damansara Realty provides property development, construction, and property holding. 

In its reply, the company said it participated in a public tender to construct housing units under Projek Perumahan Penjawat Awam 1Malaysia in Putrajaya.
