Market gains in the Asean region were strong, leading to Bursa Malaysia kicking off the week, crossing over the 1,640 hurdle to settle 1.2% higher to 1,647.59 points on Monday. In the broader market, gainers outnumbered losers with 601 stocks ending higher and 236 stocks finishing lower.
