Maybank IB appoints deputy CEO


KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank Investment Bank has appointed Fad’l Mohamed as its deputy chief executive officer effective Monday.

In a statement, the bank said Fad'l will be assisting chief executive officer John Chong in the investment banking business in Malaysia. 

Prior to joining Maybank Investment, Fad’l, 47, was the managing director of Maestro Capital Sdn Bhd, a licensed corporate finance advisory firm focusing primarily in M&A, fund raising and IPO, which he founded in 2004. 

He started his career as a lawyer with Rashid & Lee and had also previously served in other organisations including the Securities Commission Malaysia and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.
