Cautious note on Goods and Services Tax

PETALING JAYA: It is not just entities with annual turnover exceeding RM500,000 that must register for the impending Goods and Services Tax (GST) come April 1, 2015.

A tax consultant said that even businesses below the threshold of RM500,000 but anticipating revenue to exceed the half million mark in their operations next year should register by Dec 31 to avoid being penalised.
