Perodua 2013 sales up 3.7% to 196,100 units, targets 197,000 cars in 2014

KUALA LUMPUR: Perodua sales rose 3.7% year-on-year to 196,100 units in 2013, mainly on the back of strong demand for its S-Series variants, the company said on Thursday.

For 2014, Perodua is targeting a 0.2% growth to 197,000 units, as it's new plant begins operations and requires time to adjust.

On exports, Perodua president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said the company is looking to rationalise it's strategy on destination as well as product line-up.

Perodua exports to seven countries, namely Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Fiji, Mauritius, Singapore, Brunei and Nepal.
