PETALING JAYA: Malaysian driver Zen Low earned a double podium finish for Team Naza Aylezo in the first round of the 2017 Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific series at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

It was Zen’s first outing in a Ferrari and also the first time the one-make racing series are using a turbocharged engine.

Zen posted 2:16.204 in the first qualifying session to start Race 1 in fourth spot and ended the race in second spot.

For Race 2, the team decided to run the car in a set-up that was not tested during the practice.

Zen struggled initially but managed to hang on to cross the finish line in third place.

The Malaysian will head to China for the second round at the Shanghai International Circuit from May 27-29.
