SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Caretaker coach Andre Jardine led Sao Paulo to a 1-1 draw against Gremio in his first game in charge on Thursday, a result that leaves both teams tied in fourth place in the league and all but out of the running for the Serie A title.

Everton put the visitors ahead after 56 minutes but Gremio defender Michel scored an own goal 17 minutes later to level the scores.
