PETALING JAYA: National football coach Eduardo Vingada has called up Perak defender Amirul Azhan Aznan as a replacement for injured Azrif Nasrulhaq Badrul Hisham of Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT).
Vingada now has 22 players in centralised training, which started at the Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka yesterday.
Malaysia are preparing for the 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers Group B match against Hong Kong on Sept 5.
Before the clash, Vingada’s team will play friendlies against Syria in Melaka (Aug 22), Macau away (Aug 25) and Myanmar in Yangon (Aug 29).
Fadhli Shas, also of JDT, is also out of the squad due to injury, but he will report for training before the friendly against Myanmar.
