PETALING JAYA: Team manager Zairil Khir Johari (pic) is the new president of the Football Association of Penang (FAP). FAP executive secretary Muhammad Asyraf Mohamad Yusof said that Zairil had been elected unopposed to replace Datuk Seri Nazir Ariff, who stepped step down from the hot seat last month.
“Since there was only one nominee received when nominations closed with the FAP at 4pm yesterday, it automatically means that Zairil will take over as the new president,” said Asyraf.
