PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles pair Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing are through to the quarter-finals of the Taiwan Open.

The world No. 44 produced a gritty performance to beat homesters Wang Chi-lin-Cheng Chi-ya 21-18, 14-21, 21-15 in the second round at the Taipei Arena on Thursday.
