Send radioactive waste out of Malaysia


SAHABAT Alam Malaysia (SAM) and the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) support the decision of the government to ask Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd to remove and dispose of its accumulated 451,464 tonnes of radioactive waste from its plant in Pahang.

In our view the radioactive waste should be exported by Lynas to Australia because the raw materials that are processed into rare earth originates in Australia.
